Khul to the rescue.

Things you need to know about getting money:

1: Auction House

a: Non-Materials
Things sell in the AH for one of two reasons: 1, the buyer knows what they need and finds it, 2, the buyer is retarded. The items in the AH that will sell the best are class-helpful items. If the stats are a good combination someone will buy it. Str and Stam are perfect for tanks. Warriors go for this, as do DKs. Int and Spir, or Stam are great for casters. Locks Shammies and Mages go for these. This does not guarantee a good flow of money though, as you have no gurantee that someone will buy it (but there is an increased chance). Avoid trying to sell combos like Str and Spir, or Int and Str (unless a pally wants it).

b: Materials
THIS IS WHERE THE MONEY IS. If you want to guarantee a good flow of money, sell mats. I was a leatherworker and skinner in wowscape (one of the best servers out there) and I could make upwards of 10k gold in a single day. It's a lot harder now, because there are less than 200 people on every day, but this still is a lucrative venture. Go out and mine your best mat, or second best. Go skin your highest leather. Go harvest some frostweave. Gather 10ish stacks and check out what everyone else is selling it for in the AH. Then sell it for slightly less. I know that less is less money, but it will gurantee yours will be bought.

c: Prices
Ever see an infomercial offering something at $19.99, or $24.99? really anything that ends with .99? Chances are that you have, many times a day. That is because it works. It looks like less money (technically it is), without actually being much less than the seller is willing to sell for. Regarding the mats and undercutting other people's prices (don't undercut guildmates): if I see something being offered for 640 gold a stack, I immediately know what i am going to sell it for. Pick a nice rounded number, and then drop one copper. I want to sell it for 600 gold instead (a huge drop, but at 600 gold a stack, it's still a lot of money). So i sell it for 599g 99s 99c. Players are guaranteed to buy mine over this other guys. And it would work still even if i only dropped 2 gold off of his price.

Also regarding prices: DON'T BE STINGY. Dont ask for too goddamned much. Dont ask for too little either. Always check the AH first. And don't be stubborn. If something isnt selling, the cost to put it up for will almost inevitably rise past the actual worth of the item. Mats should be given several chances to sell, but weapons and armor should not. Let it run twice or maybe even three times, but if it isnt selling, it is going to start costing you money. If a sword sells for 5 gold at a vendor, and the cost to put it up for auction is 2.5 gold, give it two chances. That way if it doesnt sell to a player, you can just sell it to an NPC and break even. If you put it up for three times it's going to cost you 7.5 gold to list it, when selling it to a vendor you would only be covering 66.666% of the cost to list it.

2: Non-AH

a:Other players
This is another great place to get money. As much as you may dread the thought, go on LFG and see what people aer looking for. If you have the time, go gather a bit of it, or check your bank. Always make sure you COD.

b: Card Farming
Tag along with deth or Justi, or go alone if you feel up to it. Go to Strat, or Scholo, or BRS and kill things. Almost everything in these dungeons drops cards. And the cards sell for between 50s and 5g. GAther 100 cards, and go sell them to a vendor. You could make upwards of 500 gold. Most likely it will be closer to 100 on an average run.

c: Vael The Corrupt
Holy Balls. This guy drops a shit-ton of gold. 6k usually on its death. Go with 2 or 3 other people and you are getting between 1.5k and 2k. Be warned, this is level 60+ only, and make sure you bring a healer.

There are many more ways than this to make money in the game. If you have other ways to do so, PM me, or post below.

HOLY BALLS IS CORRECT when killing Val the Corrupt! My party consisted of Deth (71), Rikk (72) and lil ol' me (65+) and we charged valiantly into Val's throne room and killed her. Between the three of us we got 2.8k gold each and I screamed like a little girl. Haha. But if you guys are feeling greedy, please keep your party small but strong (lvl 70+) with a reliable healer and a person who knows how to get to Val's lair. Bring lots of pots and food...ull be in for a long fight...i think Val's HP was 174K. -___- first time we killed it, it took 25 mins.
