Nokia PureView 808, the 41 megapixel camera smartphone was not able to dent the smartphone market with its super enhanced picture clicking capabilities. However, when it comes to the powerful Lumia series including Nokia Lumia 920, 820, 720 and 620 - the range has definitely thrilled the smartphone market waves with the advanced PureView camera technology coupled with Microsoft's latest Windows Phone 8 operating system and its vivid features.

If you are not aware, let us inform you that rumors regarding the same have been circulating across the tech world since a long time now and hints that the Finnish tech giant is working on a Windows Phone 8 based 41MP PureView camera smartphone. However, the latest is that apart from ramping up the handset with a better camera performance over Lumia 920, it seems like Nokia is also focusing a lot on the internal hardware of the handset, so that the upcoming handset does not fail like PureView 808. According to the latest information by My Nokia Blog citing inside sources, Nokia is testing two variants of EOS smartphone. Well, Nokia is working on a dual core version and a quad core Snapdragon 800 variant of the handset. However, the report claims that there is battery life issue with in the quad core model. When it comes to the other specs, Nokia EOS is claimed to come with AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels, 41MP camera with LED and Xenon flash, micro SD card slot for expandable storage support, Windows Phone 8, FM transmitter and micro HDMI port. Also, the handset will be launched initially in the United States claims the report.
